Wayward Strand An emotional, and empathetic narrative, is a result of many threads. It is set within an airborne medical facility in Australia during the 1970s.
With Wayward Strand you play as Casey Beaumaris, a teenage girl who is visiting the hospital for the very first time. In the span of three days, she will investigate the past of the ship, its daily lives of the inhabitants as well as their connections to each other.
After arriving, she is able to look around the cabins of the ship’s eccentric and charming residents. She can choose the people she’d like to spend her time with and meet them. The staff can be shadowed as they walk around the ship, or it is possible to explore the ship to discover its dark past.
The patients at the hospital comprise a diverse group of people with some who are delightful, while others are odd, others rude, each one with his own set of desires dreams, ambitions and goals. Residents can do what they want, independent from the persona of their character.
The time of stay of 3 days Casey has on board the ship lets her be a part of the lives of different characters. Casey could then research. Each character moves and acts on their own terms and on their own timetable – sharing news with each other, opinions; arguing and joking, gossiping or having a chat with Casey when she comes through.
